I did it! Graduation!

Yes, today was the day.
I woke up, and heard somebody knocking on the door. I was like: "Who could that be?". So, I waited for it to stop. Then, I realized there was a low, heavy diesel-engine rumble outside. Then I knew it - UPS was there to deliver my package. I ran downstairs and stood behind the front door. The truck hadn't left yet. I heard somebody say something like "hey, somebody's home" and the delivery guy came back with a huge box. I thanked him half-sleepily and shut the door. Everything was great, the two stands for my guitars so I could put them away on stage, the new capo which should save me time on the stage during performances, and of course the big fat cable that should last me long enough.
In the afternoon I went to school with my girlfriend to drop off our locker keys. We had to wait a bit because the woman that was supposed to take our keys back and give us back the bail (that's what you call it, right?) was on the phone. Meanwhile, my stalker walked by, apparently, and sent me a message on my cellphone. My girlfriend, standing next to me told me to not read it, because if she'd see it she'd know I read the messages and so would keep on stalking me... so I let her delete the message.
When everything was sorted out, we went back to wait for the call. The call that would tell me that I either did or did not graduate. Well, not long after I got back my mom's cellphone lit up - school calling. I took the phone and my mentor said he wanted to congratulate me. So, I was already feeling lots, lots better. Both my girl and my mom were delighted, of course. Later, went upstairs to help with a video that my sweetie wanted to make for her friends before they all went off to college/university etc. My sweetie went off to eat something and I had to eat a bit too. Later we met at school again, to pick up our lists with our marks. I had to go upstairs and meet with the rest of the class with my mentor. He told us a few things, had a laugh, drank one and then went off again. I met up again with my girl and she wanted to see my list so I let her see it. My dad, who was with me meanwhile was looking at her list. We left quite soon after.

Now, I still have to make the best of my audition and hope they'll approve and I'll get on the Rock Academy. Otherwise, I'll just study IT. Let's see what the future brings us!

Prom, on the 8th of June, the night after.

I was going to write about this earlier, but I didn't - time wouldn't let me.

First I had to go back to the rental to get my suit, had to try it on first and everything was perfect in a whim. Took it home for the evening when I would have prom.
The afternoon I just spent chillin'... heh.
Then when the evening fell I had to visit a school to see if I wanted to go there after I graduated. It's about IT and I think I'm gonna apply for it in case I don't get on the Rock Academy in Tilburg.
Anyhow, I attended the presentation, asked a question then hurried off home to clean and dress up for prom.
So when I was done doing that the man with the ride I had found to get us to prom was there and we went off to pick up my sweetheart.
I hadn't seen her since after the exams were over, that's when she went on holiday. And I came back the day before prom, and there was no way we could see each other before that.
When I arrived I rang the bell and she opened the door. Gave each other a big hug, had a picture taken by a few people and then went off to pick up another two people.
When we arrived at the location there still were a few cars lined up, even though we were like 30-45 minutes late or so. We must have been one of the last ones in.
So, got out of the car, had a picture taken, then went on to stand with the others and talk a bit. Then had another picture taken by my sweetie's cousin, who was also there to watch everybody coming in.
Anyhow, we went in to the little castle that was readied for our post-exam high school prom. We were given a welcome-drink which was some kind of alcoholic beverage of which I forgot the name.
It was very busy, I had to say. Said hi to a few people and shook a few hands, gained a few compliments, etc.
Anyhow, my girl and I stuck together everywhere we went, I didn't have much to say, but she was talking to her friends and everything but I didn't mind - just wanted to be with her, be close to her. We weren't apart often that night, either.
At some point we went in to get some food, but I wasn't feeling like eating anything and I shared a blank taco with my love (like, empty, dressed for prom, having to fill that up yourself, it's like, what the...). Went to hang around a bit, had a few pictures taken and took a few pictures, she wanted to have a few pictures taken. We also went in to dance a bit. Took me some time to get everything loose enough to move around a bit in a dance-like fashion but it worked OK. At some point we were standing somewhat on the edge of the crowd that was there and she started kissing me. That was great, but I think we got interrupted - somebody tapped me on the head while we were at it and stopped because of that. We went outside again then, where we pulled up a chair to sit with my girl's friends. At first she wanted me to sit on her lap but soon we found out that wasn't a good idea (yeah, that's too easy). So, we switched. That was fun, I couldn't stop looking at her, she couldn't stop looking at me, we couldn't stop kissing and everything. Somewhere later we went back in to dance again, but soon had to come back out to have a picture taken with my classmates/fellow-students and our mentor. When that was done I couldn't wait to get back inside again to dance with my sweetie and we did. It started out casually but that grew more and more intimate and everything. At some point we were kissing and hugging and everything, dancing in a semi-dirty way. She was looking at me like she wanted something. It was very exciting and I couldn't stop looking at those eyes - they're so, so beautiful. It was getting quite hot in there, in more than one way, too. So, we went back out again to cool down. That didn't work, because we pulled up a chair among her friends again and she sat on my lap. Again, we couldn't stop looking at each other and kissing and everything. It became quite alarming actually, so she sat in such way we couldn't go too far right there but that wouldn't hold for long. We managed though.
At around 0:30 I rang up my mom to come and pick us up at around 1:15 or so. Prom would end that night at 1:30 and I wanted to be long gone before everyone else would be running for the exit because the party ended. That seemed to have worked. You might wonder why I would sacrifice 15 minutes without my love? Only one way - she was coming with me, to sleep at my place. We were quite tired, but not as tired as expected, from both our holidays and everything it should've been much more tiring with the prom following that. But, we weren't. Got home, talked a bit to my mom then went upstairs to my bedroom.

And that's when the night, our lives, our love and our relationship took a turn for the better...

I love you, Iris. <3

Yay, first real day in London!

Alrighty then, I had quite a tough time waking up, while I also had a hard time falling asleep. What I'm sleeping on isn't even a bed - it's more like a couch, and the bit you sit on is actually tilted. Now that's quite annoying to sleep ont, but at least I slept alright. Still missing my sweetie, but I'm counting the days before I can see her again. We'll have prom on the 8th, should be fun!
Anyhow, decided to go play tourist and see the Tower Bridge. Just walked over it, didn't went in and on it like you could. Walked around, a bit on that side. Oh, right, then it was Starbucks time. As usual, I got my mango-passionfruit frappucino thing that I really enjoyed.
Then walked back over the Millennium Bridge - the one that used to wobble a bit when people walked over it. Then saw a bit of St. Paul's Catherdal. From far away it looks cool, but when you stand beside it's it is so much more awesome. Didn't go inside though - a little bit too expensive! Heck, I was even impressed by the huge doors.
The weather was excellent too.
Well, so then we went on to meet up with family, had something to eat, and then split up and few of us walked on. Took a bus to Kensington, then went into a pub to have a beer. I never drink beer, but this time I was like "neah, why not", so I got a pint of a kind of beer I forgot the name of. It was kind of a new taste, but I liked it quite a bit. Walked around a bit in Kensington for a few then decided to call it a night and head on back.

What's on it for tomorrow? I have no idea. There's only one way to find out!

The Trip to London!

It started out just like any other day. Waking up, checking my phone for messages, turning on my computer and check for whatever. Then slowly started packing. Nothing special, like any other time going on holiday.
Anyhow, we went off by bus to the airport, nothing new there either. Bought a few last things, checked the luggage in, ect. Waited a bit before we could get on the plane, as usual.
We got on the plane, found the seats, put a few things in the overhead compartiment and sat down. Plane went off to taxi, when it was announced over the PA that there was a technical issue with the plane we were on. So, it was driven back to the gate for a check-up. All good and well, and off to taxi again. Quite unexpectedly, again, it was announced the issue still wasn’t solved (or it was something else but I don’t think so), and we went back to the gate again. This time though, we had to get off the plane. We got a transit card and waited at the gate. Then a ground steward told us we had two choices – all of a sudden. We could either go to Rotterdam and fly from there, or wait another two days and fly from Eindhoven.
We went for Rotterdam, along with a few others not wanting to wait. They, at the airport, promised the plane would be held down for us to get there and catch the flight. Took a taxi, with three others. The driver was great, he must have driven us to Rotterdam real fast, we were there in about 45 minutes. I think he drove like 160 kph at some point! Anyhow, I did fell asleep for a bit so I was quite awake thereafter.
So, we finally got to the airport in Rotterdam. Taxi costs were split among the five of us and we got receipts so the costs could be made up back to us by the airport or whatever. We had about 10 minutes to check in our luggage again, go through security, check in at the gate and get on the plane. Funnily enough it was the same type of plane we got out of in Eindhoven. But it soon became clear that this one was actually going to get us to the other side of the pond.
So we got out, took our luggage, and went off to find a train. So, we got on the train, got out at the terminal station, then went up a few escalators and down one to get on the underground. Got out again, then went to find a bus. Meanwhile I set my trusty iPod to play the full ‘Speak Now’ album. The first bus we got on told us we had to be on the other side of the street. Yeah, you guessed it, we had already crossed the street just to find out we were on the wrong side of it. But we found our bus. Then, as if it couldn’t get any more of a rough trip, we missed our stop. Got out as soon as possible, then walked all the way back to the stop we should’ve gotten out at. Walked, walked, and walked a bit more to find the place we were staying. Calling back and forth, ect. But, finally found it. From the station until here, where the apartment is, I’d heard almost the full album. Just when the last song of the album started playing we actually walked in here. Messaged my sweetie I arrived safely. I had actually been messaging her back and forth everytime something new happened in the non-planned adventure. Switched on my laptop, checked mail, ect. Then I waited, hoping to find my love still awake and on the IM. But apparently she got thrown off the wi-fi rigtht then. Pity, but alright, nothing I could do about it. Then it was on to resting a bit, drinking something, eating something, you know it. Right, so then it was on to messing with the tv. Found a documentary that seemed interesting. Turned out to be about the band that the remainder of Nirvana started – the Foo Fighters. I found it really interesting and actually watched the whole darn thing. Then showered – well, trying to figure out how the thing worked. I still don’t completely understand what it does and how it works but I’m OK now. Still writing this, but I’m going to sleep, I suppose.
Wild trip? I guess not too much, but it wasn’t expected at all. I’m tired, though.
